Job summary

Keolis North America Inc. is seeking an experienced Training Specialist to administer the Operator Education Program, Trainer Certification Program, and OSHA required training for all department staff.

You will coordinate classroom, Behind the Wheel, and on-the-job instruction for new hires and ongoing safety initiatives. The role requires 3+ years transit training experience, a CDL Class B with P endorsement, and strong communication and presentation skills.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma; college degree preferred.
• Certified TSI bus operator trainer.
• CDL Class B with P endorsement.
• Airbrakes and Passenger endorsements and active medical examiners certificate preferred.
• Minimum 3 years transit experience with Class B vehicles.
• Knowledge of DOT, OSHA, NIMS, EPA, ADA requirements.
• Experience developing safety programs and investigations.
• Ability to communicate technical information clearly.
• Confidentiality and ability to work in a diverse workforce.

Responsibilities

• Administers and directs Operator Education and Trainer Certification Programs.
• Conducts drivers licensing safety instruction.
• Provides training assistance to Maintenance, Human Resources and other departments.
• Directs Behind the Wheel, retraining, refresher, and post-accident training.
• Coordinate classroom, BTW, line and revenue instruction for new hire classes.
• Evaluate training effectiveness and modify program design to improve efficiency.
• Manage large-scale training projects as assigned.
• Ensure training content remains current with authorities and contracts.
• Prepare trainee examinations and conduct evaluations in all training phases.
• Counsel trainees and develop individualized training plans as needed.
