Job summary

Keolis North America Inc. in Hesperia, CA seeks a Training Manager to lead the VVTA operator education and trainer certification programs. You will oversee safety initiatives, ensure DOT/OSHA compliance, and coordinate CDL-related training for staff and maintenance personnel.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; college degree preferred.
• Certified Transportation Safety Institute (TSI) bus operator trainer.
• Must have Class B CDL with P endorsement.
• Airbrakes and Passenger endorsements and active medical examiners certificate preferred.
• Minimum 3 years transit experience with Class B vehicles in fixed route system.
• Knowledge of DOT, OSHA, NIMS, EPA and ADA requirements.
• Experience developing safety programs and investigations.
• Ability to present and relay technical information clearly.
• Ability to work effectively in a diverse workforce.

Responsibilities

• Administers and directs operator education and trainer certification programs.
• Coordinates classroom, BTW, line and revenue instruction for new hire classes.
• Evaluates training effectiveness via student evaluations and post-training reviews.
• Manages large-scale training projects and program design updates.
• Prepares trainee exams and conducts evaluations for classroom, line, and revenue phases.
• Oversees CDL training for maintenance personnel and OSHA safety orientation.
• Supervises trainers and staffing; hires and evaluates personnel.
• Develops training aids, materials, tests, and lesson plans.
• Ensures training records are auditable and compliant with authorities.
