Job summary

MV Transportation in Stockton, CA is seeking a Safety and Training Manager to lead operator training, safety programs, and compliance with EPA/OSHA regulations.

You will supervise classroom and behind-the-wheel instruction, ensure audits pass, and drive a safety culture across divisions, coordinating with claims and medical facilities as needed.

The role requires CDL Class B with Passenger Endorsement, relevant certifications, and strong presentation and data analysis skills.

Qualifications

• Transit safety experience in public transit operations.
• Experience in urban public/Regional Center transit settings.
• College degree or 5+ years of safety management experience.
• CDL Class B with Passenger Endorsement preferred.
• Knowledge of FTA, FMCSA and DOT regulations.
• Ability to teach and facilitate classroom training.
• Strong presentation and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Implement and maintain operator training and safety programs including new-hire and refresher training.
• Ensure all operators meet training requirements for company and contract.
• Maintain safety manuals, programs, and policies to meet division needs.
• Serve as expert in EPA and OSHA, CDL compliance.
• Oversee audits and ensure timely handling of claims with risk reduction.
• Lead classroom and behind-the-wheel instruction per specifications.
• Foster a consistent safety culture across locations.
