Job summary

Transdev North America is seeking an instructor to train new operators and re-train current staff, delivering both classroom and behind-the-wheel sessions.

You will track attendees, maintain training records, and support safety program activities and regulatory compliance across the location.

Requirements include a high school diploma and 1–3 years in training and transportation safety, plus computer literacy (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 1 -3 years training experience
• 1 -3 years transportation, safety or related experience
• Knowledge of federal and state regulations regarding safety
• Must be computer literate with working knowledge of Word, Excel, & Powerpoint
• Good verbal, written, and communication skills.
• Subject to a DOT drug testing and physical if applicable. DOT Regulation 49 CFR Part 40 does not authorize the use of Schedule I drugs, including cannabis, for any reason.

Responsibilities

• Provide classroom and/ or behind-the-wheel training to new operators or re-training of current operators. May provide other training to location personnel.
• Tracks attendees and maintains training documentation based on regulations and company policy
• While the focus is on driver training, employee may also have other safety program responsibilities (e.g., accident investigation, forms compliance, safety meetings).
• Other duties as required.
