Job summary

HDR, Inc. in New York is seeking a Principal Project Manager with transit experience to lead the strategic planning, design, and delivery of high-value infrastructure and transit projects.

You will direct multidisciplinary teams and coordinate with clients, stakeholders, and contractors to achieve objectives on schedule and within budget. The role demands strong leadership, QA/QC oversight, and mentoring of project managers, with a proven track record in the NY metro area.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field and 15 years of related experience.
• Minimum 7 years project management experience.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office, estimating and scheduling software, and project management software.
• Ability to interact with design teams and communicate effectively (written and verbal).
• Active participation in an employee-owned culture is required.

Responsibilities

• Direct and coordinate work of single or multi-discipline teams through the transit project's lifecycle.
• Produce and manage multiple projects concurrently while meeting budget and schedule goals.
• Establish client relations and participate in marketing, contractual, design and production meetings.
• Coordinate staffing, QA/QC, and mentor less-experienced project managers.
