Job summary

HDR is seeking a Project Executive to support multiple transportation projects in the NY/NJ area. You will guide the project delivery team through all life-cycle phases, from design through execution, while managing risk and delivering client value.

You will drive strategic planning for the transportation group, mentor staff, and coordinate with clients and partners to develop competitive proposals and successful outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
• 15 years related experience.
• A minimum 7 years project management experience.
• Professional Engineer license (PE or P.Eng) recognized by the licensing board for the position location.
• MS Office and MS Project experience required; Access experience is a plus.
• Demonstrated leadership, business development and strategic planning skills.
• Active participant in our employee-owned culture.

Responsibilities

• Networking with clients and strategic partners to identify opportunities in design and construction management.
• Evaluating opportunities with go/no-go analysis and positioning options.
• Coordinating design teams and selecting key subconsultants/teaming partners.
• Overseeing proposal development to deliver a competitive, high-quality bid while managing risk.
• Leading project delivery through execution with risk management.
• Acting as executive liaison between project team and client during execution.
• Conducting management reviews to support successful project delivery.
• Assisting in development and implementation of change management programs.
• Interfacing with client to resolve issues that cannot be solved at the project level.
• Developing strategic initiatives to grow the transportation group.
• Contributing to a strategic growth plan and vision for the group.
• Participating in staff recruitment and mentorship.
• Fostering communication among key staff via calls and meetings.
