Job summary

Horrocks seeks a Senior Transit Engineer or Project Manager to lead transit design efforts across multiple modes, including heavy rail, light rail, and bus rapid transit. The right candidate will manage design from concept through construction-ready plans, coordinate meetings, and produce calculations and drawings.

The role requires a PE license, a civil engineering degree, and 10+ years of transit experience, with strong client development and collaborative communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering is required.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license is required.
• 10+ years of transit design experience preferred.
• Experience with heavy rail, light rail, or bus rapid transit.
• Ability to lead client and business development efforts.
• Strong communication and collaborative skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead design efforts from concept through construction-ready plans, specs, and estimates.
• Coordinate meetings and resolve technical questions.
• Develop and review submittals for standards compliance.
• Prepare calculations, reports, memos, drawings, and visuals.
• Support project controls and documentation.
• Assist in business development and client relationships.
