Job summary

Horrocks in Seattle is seeking a Senior Transit Engineer or Project Manager to lead transit design efforts across the mountain west. The role involves heavy rail, light rail, and bus rapid transit design, including station area layouts and multimodal centers.

The right candidate will have a Bachelor’s in civil engineering, PE certification, and 10+ years of relevant experience, with strong client and business development capabilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering is required.
• Professional Engineer (PE) licensure is required.
• 10+ years of relevant transit experience preferred.
• Experience with public transit agencies and multi-modal projects is valued.
• Ability to lead and support client development initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Lead design from concept through construction plans, specs, and cost estimates.
• Coordinate meetings and communications to resolve technical questions.
• Prepare calculations, reports, memos, drawings, and visual aids.
• Maintain project controls and documentation.
• Support business development activities for transit projects.
