Job summary

Horrocks is seeking a Senior Transit Engineer or Project Manager to lead transit design efforts across the intermountain west from our Houston, TX location. You will work on heavy rail, light rail, and bus rapid transit projects for state DOTs, transit agencies, and cities, coordinating with a growing transit team.

The ideal candidate will have a civil engineering degree, PE license, 10+ years of transit experience, and strong leadership, communication, and business development skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering required.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
• 10+ years of transit design experience preferred.
• Experience with rail, light rail, or BRT projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead design efforts from concept through construction documents.
• Coordinate meetings and resolve technical issues.
• Develop and review submittals for standards compliance.
• Prepare calculations, reports, drawings, and visual aids.
• Support client development and project controls.
