Job summary

Parcc Associates is seeking a Senior Transformer Reliability Engineer to own post-production performance for medium-voltage transformer equipment. You will investigate field failures, drive corrective actions, and work directly with customers and field personnel to resolve issues.

The role focuses on transformer reliability, field troubleshooting, and sustaining engineering, with opportunities to influence product design and manufacturing specifications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related technical field.
• 5+ years of engineering experience with transformers, medium-voltage equipment, power systems, or related electrical products.
• Experience with root-cause analysis and corrective-action methodologies.
• Ability to read, interpret, and mark up electrical drawings, schematics, and specifications.
• Willingness to travel occasionally and work on-site in Greenville, SC.

Responsibilities

• Own field failures, warranty issues, installation problems, and product-quality escapes for medium-voltage transformer equipment.
• Lead structured root-cause investigations and corrective actions using established methodologies.
• Collaborate with customers, field personnel, and internal teams to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
• Analyze test records, field conditions, drawings, and data to identify failure mechanisms.
• Support on-site field investigations, commissioning issues, and field troubleshooting.
• Improve existing transformer designs and configurations in production or field use.
• Update drawings, specs, tolerances, and installation documentation.
