Job summary

CORE Transformers in Seneca, SC is seeking a Sr. Product Reliability Engineer for MV transformers.

You’ll own field performance, installation issues, and quality escapes for units already in production, collaborating with quality, overseas manufacturing partners, and sales to close the loop between field observations and what is built. You’ll drive engineering changes, update design libraries, and develop field bulletins.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or equivalent hands-on experience in MV transformer/power systems.
• 5+ years of engineering experience in power systems, MV electrical equipment, or transformer manufacturing.
• Experience with transformer design fundamentals: core and coil, winding configurations, insulation systems.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary engineering owner for field issues, warranty claims, and quality escapes on units in production — root cause investigation, corrective action, closure.
• Manage the engineering change process for existing standard designs: evaluate requests and issue updated drawings and specifications.
• Partner with quality and overseas manufacturing to translate field experience into tighter criteria.
• Provide installation and field support for sales, contractors, and customers, including on-site troubleshooting.
• Maintain and improve technical documentation for standard designs: drawings, spec sheets, installation guides, accessory configurations.
