Job summary

Health Care Service Corporation (HCSC) in Chicago is seeking a Senior Training Specialist to design, deliver, and optimize learning solutions across instructor-led, virtual, and remote formats. You will apply adult learning principles and effective facilitation to drive knowledge transfer and speed to proficiency.

You will collaborate with business stakeholders to assess needs, recommend solutions, and mentor new Performance Specialists.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Education, or Training, or related field, with 2 years of experience in training/education OR 6 years of experience in either insurance or health care or communications or training that includes experience in two or more of the following.
• Coaching and project management across multiple projects
• Classroom facilitation and instructional design
• Experience with testing methodologies/measurements and adult learning theories

Responsibilities

• Facilitating learning solutions including instructor-led classroom, WebEx and remote training rooms via video conferencing and other technologies.
• Delivering training using adult learning principles, effective facilitation concepts and classroom management.
• Providing support with client needs analysis, consulting, and recommendations of learning solutions.
• Successful transfer of knowledge to students meeting speed to proficiency expectations.
• Delivering high-quality learning solutions through instructor-led classroom, virtual, and video-conference-based training environments.
• Partners with business stakeholders to assess learning needs, recommend solutions, and support employee performance and speed to proficiency.
• Mentor to new Performance Specialists by providing coaching, facilitation best practices, and ongoing developmental support.
