Job summary

The Department of Health and Social Services (DHSS) in Delaware seeks a Training and Education Specialist III to design and deliver innovative training, technical assistance, and educational resources that support IDEA Part C compliance for program staff, early intervention providers, community partners, and families.

We are looking for a dynamic public speaker and collaborative professional to strengthen Delaware's statewide early intervention system.

Qualifications

• Two years’ experience in delivering training or education courses using varied materials and equipment.
• One year of experience in preparing and maintaining training records and reports.
• One year of experience in researching and designing courses and curricula to meet learning objectives.
• One year of experience creating methods to analyze training needs and measure effectiveness.

Responsibilities

• Plans, coordinates, and delivers training and education courses and activities (in-person, on-site, or virtual).
• Organizes and prepares materials and equipment for training sessions.
• Researches delivery methods and selects appropriate materials and assistive technologies.
• Coaches others and provides feedback to improve performance.
• Collects and analyzes data to evaluate quality and identify needs and challenges.
• Prepares records and reports such as schedules and rosters.
• Completes continuing education to stay current on standards and regulations.
• Uses information systems to research and report training information.
• Maintains content on social media and creates instructional materials.
• Operates training facilities and participates in testing new technology.
