Job summary

GAI Consultants Inc. seeks a Senior Engineering Manager to lead traffic and engineering projects from Ohio and neighboring states. The role operates on-site or hybrid across Ohio, Indiana, Kentucky, or West Virginia offices, with eligibility for a sign-on bonus.

Ideal candidates bring 15+ years of leadership and project oversight, PE licensure, and strong communication skills to guide engineers, manage financials, and serve as the client representative for major initiatives.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of experience leading engineering teams and complex projects.
• PE license required with ability to reciprocity in multiple states.
• Experience working with State Agencies and knowledge of Design-Build processes preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee engineers in plan development and financial monitoring.
• Represent GAI as client liaison on projects and manage multi‑disciplinary teams.
• Lead project management, risk assessment, and budgeting for complex programs.
• Develop design alternatives considering regulatory constraints and sustainability.
