Job summary

McClure is seeking a Senior Traffic Engineer (Senior PE) to lead design and technical efforts on high-visibility transportation projects. You will mentor junior staff, drive QA/QC standards, and coordinate with project managers to ensure on-time, high-quality delivery.

The role emphasizes leadership, industry innovation, and client interaction, with opportunities to present at industry events and guide best practices across projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in civil engineering or related field.
• PE license is required.
• PTOE certification is a plus.
• 5+ years of engineering experience.
• Strong knowledge of transportation engineering and industry standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead the project delivery team by delegating technical tasks and coaching team members.
• Oversee QA/QC processes for projects and ensure compliance with standards.
• Coordinate with Project Managers to document milestones and dependencies.
• Independently manage design team schedules, budgets and staffing.
• Document and share lessons learned across the team.
