Job summary

McClure is seeking a Senior Traffic Engineer (Senior PE) to lead critical transportation projects in the Kansas City area. You will provide technical leadership, mentorship, and foster team growth within the Transportation group.

Responsibilities include directing design and QA/QC efforts, coordinating with clients and Project Managers, and guiding junior engineers while ensuring compliance with industry standards. PE licensure is required, PTOE a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in civil engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in engineering.
• PE license is required.
• PTOE certification is a plus.
• General computer knowledge: Excel, Word, PDF.

Responsibilities

• Lead the project delivery team by delegating technical/design tasks and coaching those involved.
• Lead QA/QC processes for projects and advise on team-wide changes.
• Coordinate with Project Managers to identify milestones and budgets.
• Mentor and develop junior team members and transfer knowledge.
• Engage with clients in kickoff, design review, and progress meetings.
• Support leadership with monthly updates and cross-functional coordination.
