McClure is seeking a Senior Traffic Engineer (Senior PE) in Boston to lead a growing transportation team. You will mentor junior engineers, oversee deliverables, and drive quality across reports, plans, and specifications.

The role emphasizes technical leadership, collaboration with Project Managers, and a commitment to industry innovation while maintaining excellent client relationships and project schedules.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in civil engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in engineering.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license is required.
• Professional Traffic Operations Engineer (PTOE) certification is a plus.
• Proven mentoring and developing junior team members.
• General computer knowledge: Excel, Word, PDF.

Responsibilities

• Lead the project delivery team by delegating technical tasks and coaching those involved.
• Lead QA/QC processes for projects and advise on necessary team-wide changes.
• Coordinate with Project Managers to document lessons learned.
• Assess skills of technical team members and address weaknesses.
• Manage schedules, budgets and staffing for design teams.
• Participate in client meetings and maintain client relationships.
