Job summary
RETTEW is seeking a Senior Traffic Engineer | Technical Lead to guide the technical delivery and growth of our traffic engineering services within the Transportation team. You will mentor staff, shape technical approaches, and collaborate with clients, project teams, and agencies on complex studies and designs.
You will lead traffic impact studies, signal designs, corridor analyses, and safety evaluations, ensuring quality and adherence to standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering required.
- Active Professional Engineer license (PE) in Pennsylvania or able to obtain PA licensure.
- Minimum 8 years of progressive experience in traffic engineering.
- Experience leading the technical delivery or review of traffic engineering work.
- Proficiency with traffic analysis or simulation software (Synchro/SimTraffic, HCS, VISSIM).
Responsibilities
- Lead and review traffic engineering analyses, studies, designs, and technical deliverables.
- Establish technical approaches and oversee complex analyses to meet standards and client expectations.
- Mentor staff, share technical knowledge, and contribute to proposals and strategic pursuits.
- Coordinate with PennDOT, municipalities, and planning organizations.
- Develop practical recommendations to improve traffic operations, mobility, access, and safety.
