Job summary

RETTEW is seeking a Senior Traffic Engineer | Technical Lead to guide the technical delivery and growth of our traffic engineering services. Hybrid work across Pennsylvania locations with opportunities to influence projects and client relationships.

You will lead analyses, reviews, and designs while mentoring staff and helping develop technical standards, tools, templates, and quality-control practices. This role blends hands-on engineering with leadership across projects and teams.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
Active PE license in Pennsylvania or eligible to obtain PA licensure.
8+ years of progressive experience in traffic engineering.
Experience leading technical delivery or review of traffic engineering work.
Experience with traffic operations, analyses, or related assignments.

Responsibilities

Guide technical delivery of traffic engineering assignments and reviews.
Establish methodologies for complex assignments and guide teams through execution.
Lead and review traffic impact studies, signal designs, corridor studies, and safety evaluations.
Evaluate intersection, corridor, and network performance using standard engineering practices.
Mentor staff and contribute to proposals, standards, and tools.
Collaborate with project managers, clients, and agencies throughout project delivery.
