Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Senior Traffic Engineer – Supervising Traffic Engineer to be based in the Bay Area or Sacramento, CA. You will lead traffic studies for California projects and support West Coast initiatives, while coordinating with clients, staff, and regulatory agencies.

Ideal candidates have CA PE/TE license or plan to obtain within 6 months, strong communication, and extensive experience in transportation planning, modeling, and multimodal projects.

Qualifications

• BA/BS required with 6 years of relevant experience or equivalent.
• CA PE/TE/PTOE license or ability to obtain within 6 months.
• Caltrans experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead traffic studies for California projects and support West Coast regional projects as needed.
• Strong communication skills to discuss projects with stakeholders and write concise technical reports.
• Develops study and design procedures and documents for PS&E packages.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide guidance to project teams.
