AECOM seeks a Senior Traffic Engineer – Supervising Traffic Engineer to be based in the Bay Area or Sacramento, CA. This role leads traffic studies, mentors junior staff, and delivers multimodal transportation projects across California with strong collaboration across teams.

The position requires CA PE/TE/PTOE licensing or near-term eligibility, 6+ years of relevant experience, and proficiency with traffic simulation tools such as Synchro, VISSIM, and AutoCAD.

Qualifikationen

• BA/BS + 6 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
• Certified Engineer (PE/TE/PTOE) license in California, or the ability to obtain the license within 6 months.

Aufgaben

• Lead traffic studies for projects in California and support West Coast regional projects as needed.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to discuss projects with co-workers, clients, regulatory agency staff, AECOM staff, and the public in meetings and at public events, as well as write concise and readable technical reports and documents.
• Relevant experience in transportation planning, modeling, and engineering for multimodal transportation projects.
• Support a wide range of planning and preliminary engineering projects for roadways, freeways, transit systems, managed lanes, and bicycle and pedestrian facilities.
• Assist project managers on various projects involving transportation plans, traffic safety, and public involvement, and the overall preparation of CEQA and NEPA compliance documents.
