AECOM is seeking a Senior Traffic Engineer – Supervising Traffic Engineer to be based in the Bay Area or Sacramento, CA. You will lead traffic studies for California projects, provide technical input, and mentor junior staff.

Ideal candidates have Caltrans experience, a PE license, and a track record in transportation planning, modeling, and CEQA/NEPA support. This role offers a challenging mix of leadership and technical work within a national infrastructure firm.

Qualifications

• Lead traffic studies for California projects and support West Coast regional work.
• Caltrans experience required.
• Strong verbal and written communication; write concise reports and presentations.
• Experience in transportation planning, modeling, and multimodal projects.
• Support planning and preliminary engineering, CEQA/NEPA documents.
• Self-motivated with ability to multitask and meet schedules.
• Familiarity with traffic operations analysis, ITS projects, and California requirements.

Responsabilités

• Lead traffic studies for California projects and support West Coast regional projects as needed.
• Caltrans experience required and demonstrated project leadership.
• Communicate with stakeholders and prepare concise technical reports.
• Support planning, modeling, and engineering for multimodal transportation projects.
• Assist project managers and ensure compliance with CEQA/NEPA documents.
