Job summary

AECOM is seeking a California Traffic Engineering State Manager to be based in Orange, Los Angeles or Oakland, CA, with a hybrid work model. The role leads mid-to-large traffic projects across California and drives technical excellence, client relationships, and business development.

You will mentor engineers, manage budgets and schedules, ensure plan approvals with Caltrans, and collaborate with a national team to deliver safe, resilient transportation solutions.

Qualifications

• BS plus ten (10) years of relevant experience and demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
• California PE or TE license.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates and provides technical expertise for mid- to large-size projects.
• Leads technical client relationships and plays a major role in selling.
• Leads discipline department efforts to grow technical expertise.
• Leads technical business development work.
• Provides specialized technical input to studies and design for staff's area of expertise.
• Approves and signs off on work.
• Leads marketing and proposal efforts for traffic engineering projects.
• Be responsible for plan approvals for Caltrans and other major agencies.
