Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Senior Traffic Engineer to be based in Los Angeles or Orange, CA. You will lead ITS/Transportation projects across the West Coast, coordinate engineering production, and drive successful delivery with cross‑functional teams.

Ideal candidates have a BA/BS with 6+ years of experience in transportation/ITS, strong communication, and the ability to manage multiple tasks within budget and schedule.

Qualifications

• BA/BS and 6+ years of experience or demonstrated equivalency.
• 10+ years of relevant ITS/Transportation Engineering experience.
• California project experience and relationships with agencies.
• Strong background in ITS design, and Transportation Systems Management and Operations.

Responsibilities

• Be part of a team of ITS/Transportation Technology professionals and lead major projects.
• Lead, participate, & coordinate engineering production, technical deliverables and project execution.
• Work with ITS staff daily across the West Coast to ensure successful delivery.
• Support a wide range of ITS projects including freeway, arterial, transit and signals.
