Job summary

National Bank of Canada Financial Inc. (NBCFI) seeks a Senior Trading Analyst to join the Institutional Trading Support team in New York.

You will deliver high-quality client service and support multiple trading desks in NY and internationally, handling post-trade activities for Fixed Income, and collaborating with global stakeholders to ensure accurate processing and robust controls. You will work with onboarding, governance, and project teams to improve workflows, reporting, and documentation

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, economics or related field required.
• Good knowledge of Capital Markets and middle office processes.
• Strong client service, communication, analytical & interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively independently, in a team and under pressure.
• Series 99 required within 90 days of employment.
• Bilingualism (English and French) is an asset.
• Knowledge of systems such as Bloomberg, Broadridge, CTM, CDS & DTC is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent client service and share operational capital market expertise with Institutional clients.
• Act as a point of escalation for complex client or internal issues, providing guidance and effective solutions.
• Work closely with the Onboarding team to create accounts and sub accounts in booking systems.
• Participate in projects to improve workflow efficiency, reporting, documentation, and operational controls and ensure business continuity.
• Work with internal stakeholders regarding new business initiatives and internal governance processes.
• Cover vacations in Montreal and London with potential occasional travel or coverage during London hours of 4:00 a.m. – 1 p.m.
• Flexibility to work extended hours to support deals / transactions when required.
