Job summary

Northland is seeking a Senior Fixed Income Trading Desk Support in Minneapolis to operate across the full lifecycle of new issue deals and secondary trading. The role requires executing workflows, coordinating closing calls, and ensuring accurate trade capture and settlement.

The ideal candidate has 5–10 years in fixed income desk operations, FINRA licenses, and the ability to work under time pressure while mentoring junior staff; onsite with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• 5–10 years of experience in fixed income desk support, operations, or related function with focus on new issue workflows.
• Licensing: FINRA licenses; SIE, Series 7, and Series 63.
• Must have unrestricted work authorization and no sponsorship required.

Responsibilities

• Execute full lifecycle of new issue competitive deal support including DTCC eligibility, closing coordination, funds movement, and settlement.
• Back up closing calls and lead closing calls when needed, coordinating with traders, operations, and counterparties.
• Monitor trade activity and resolve trade breaks, discrepancies, and settlement issues with issuers and clearing firms.
• Maintain proficiency in Bloomberg, iPreo, EMMA, and related trading systems.
• Coordinate with counterparty firms and trading desk to ensure accurate trade capture and timely settlement.
