Job summary

IES Communications seeks a Quality Training Specialist to develop trade-related curricula, deliver classroom and on-site training, and conduct quality audits across projects. The role emphasizes hands-on demonstrations, assessments, and program improvements to raise performance and safety standards.

You will collaborate with project teams, design new training programs, and ensure a safe, engaging learning environment. Travel within the branch or regional territory may be required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three (3) years training experience or related role.
• Preferred five (5) years project management experience in telecommunications, electrical or related field.
• BICSI certified trainer preferred.
• Knowledge of job costing, job planning, quality management, safety training and contract administration.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and MS Project).
• Must meet company driving standards.
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Working knowledge of instructional design and adult learning theory.
• Ability to use basic hand tools listed in the job description.

Responsibilities

• Develop and provide trade-related, project management and delivery training in the classroom.
• Develop pre-employment trade-related job skill assessments.
• Prepare employees by developing, planning, conducting, and evaluating management training.
• Conduct training needs assessment by collecting information pertaining to work procedures and tasks.
• Conduct training classes utilizing computer and virtual classrooms, webinars and other methods.
• Evaluate training effectiveness for specific job applications.
• Administer exams and write performance reports to evaluate trainees.
• Maintain quality service by upholding organizational standards.
• Implement training processes and best practices to improve business performance.
• Maintain knowledge of installed products and course materials.
• Design and implement new training programs and revise existing ones.
• Ensure a safe and pleasant learning environment for staff/students.
• Other duties as assigned.
