Job summary

H&H is seeking a Senior Track Engineer to join the Philadelphia office and contribute to the Passenger Rail & Transit Group. The role leads track design tasks, provides technical mentoring, and uses OpenRail Designer to model horizontal and vertical alignments.

Ideal candidates will have BS in Civil Engineering, six to fifteen years of relevant experience, and a PE license is preferred. This position supports growth across our nationwide infrastructure practice and offers a professional work

Qualifications

• BS in Civil Engineering or related discipline required.
• Six to 15 years of relevant experience in track engineering.
• PE license preferred.
• Experience with Special Trackwork Design and OpenRail Designer fluency.

Responsibilities

• Lead preparation of track design documents, plans, specs, quantities, and calculations.
• Provide technical guidance and mentoring to team members.
• Lead track design tasks including geometry and modeling in OpenRail Designer.
• Design track alignments and special trackwork details for procurement.
• Occasionally perform track inspection and field work.

Responsibilities

• Lead the preparation of track design documents, including plans, specifications, quantities and design calculations
• Provide technical guidance and mentoring to team members
• Lead delivery of track design tasks, including horizontal and vertical geometry and modeling using OpenRail Designer software
• Lead the design of track horizontal and vertical alignments, including processing of survey data, regression analysis
• Lead the design of special trackwork details for procurement and installation
• Occasionally perform track inspection and field work as needed
• Assist in adapting OpenRail Designer workspaces for client specific standards
• Six to 15 years of relevant experience
• BS in Civil Engineering or related discipline
• PE license (preferred)
• Experience with Special Trackwork Design
• Fluency with OpenRail Designer
