Job summary

H&H is seeking a Senior Track Engineer in our Philadelphia office to drive track design efforts within the Passenger Rail & Transit Group. You will lead the preparation of design documents, provide technical guidance to teammates, and manage horizontal and vertical alignments using OpenRail Designer.

Occasional field work and client-standard workspace adaptations may be required. The ideal candidate has 6–15 years of relevant experience, a BS in Civil Engineering or related discipline, and a PE

Qualifications

• Six to 15 years of relevant experience.
• BS in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
• PE license (preferred).
• Experience with Special Trackwork Design.
• Fluency with OpenRail Designer.

Responsibilities

• Lead the preparation of track design documents, including plans, specifications, quantities and design calculations.
• Provide technical guidance and mentoring to team members.
• Lead delivery of track design tasks, including horizontal and vertical geometry and modeling using OpenRail Designer software.
• Lead the design of track horizontal and vertical alignments, including processing of survey data, regression analysis.
• Lead the design of special trackwork details for procurement and installation.
• Occasionally perform track inspection and field work as needed.
• Assist in adapting OpenRail Designer workspaces for client specific standards.
