Job summary

H&H, in its New York City office, seeks a Senior Track Engineer to advance the Passenger Rail & Transit Group. You will lead track design efforts, mentor colleagues, and drive geometry modeling using OpenRail Designer across projects in the NYC region.

Ideal candidates bring 6–15 years of experience, a BS in civil engineering, and familiarity with special trackwork. PE is preferred and a strong client-focused approach is valued.

Qualifications

• Six to 15 years of relevant experience.
• BS in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
• PE license (preferred).
• Experience with Special Trackwork Design.
• Fluency with OpenRail Designer.

Responsibilities

• Lead the preparation of track design documents, including plans, specifications, quantities and design calculations.
• Provide technical guidance and mentoring to team members.
• Lead delivery of track design tasks, including horizontal and vertical geometry and modeling using OpenRail Designer software.
• Lead the design of track horizontal and vertical alignments, including processing of survey data, regression analysis.
• Lead the design of special trackwork details for procurement and installation.
• Occasionally perform track inspection and field work as needed.
• Assist in adapting OpenRail Designer workspaces for client specific standards.
