Job summary
HNTB is seeking an experienced Rail/Track design engineer to contribute to a range of national rail projects from the Philadelphia area. You will work with OpenRail, MicroStation/PowerRail and AutoCAD to develop design calculations, reports, and plans, collaborating with project managers and clients to meet schedules.
The role emphasizes interdisciplinary teamwork, design delivery, and guiding junior staff while contributing to complex interlocking renewals, bridge replacements, and track
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with 4 years of relevant experience.
- Master’s degree in Engineering with 3 years of relevant experience.
- PhD in Engineering with 2 years of relevant experience.
Responsibilities
- Completes assigned work within the schedule and number of hours provided.
- Assist in the development of project specifications.
- Responsible for development of discipline specific engineering project elements/deliverables.
- Aids in the coordination and productivity of project team members.
- Provides technical guidance to less experienced engineering project team members.
- Works closely with other disciplines and on multi-discipline projects.
- Performs quality control reviews of discipline - specific engineering project elements/deliverables.
- Assists with coordination and planning of schedules, hours, and distribution of work within discipline.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
