Job summary

Yahoo seeks a Sr. Technical Program Manager to drive cross-functional technology programs within the CTO Transformation, Strategy & Operations group.

You will link strategy with operations, finance, and engineering to improve planning, management, and scaling of technology services. You will translate complex initiatives into executable plans, manage risks, and deliver measurable outcomes while collaborating with finance, engineering, and infrastructure teams to optimize cloud costs and

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience in CS/Engineering/Business or related field.
7+ years of experience leading complex, cross functional technical programs.
Demonstrated ability to understand system architecture, technical dependencies, and delivery risks.
Experience working directly with engineering and technical teams to drive plans, decisions, and outcomes.
Strong judgment and communication skills, with the ability to operate through ambiguity and influence stakeholders.
Experience partnering with Finance or FP&A teams on technology budgeting, forecasting, cost allocation, investment planning, or financial processes.

Responsibilities

Lead complex, cross functional technology programs from strategy through execution, including defining scope, sequencing work, milestones, dependencies, risks, and outcomes.
Support financial strategy and operational planning initiatives for the Central Technology organization, including cost transparency, budgeting, and resource efficiency analysis.
Partner with Finance, FinOps, Engineering, and Infrastructure teams to identify cloud cost optimization opportunities, improve utilization, and drive savings.
Drive operational excellence by developing scalable processes, governance, dashboards, and reporting frameworks.
Identify opportunities to automate manual operational workflows using AI-enabled solutions and process automation tools.
Translate technical initiatives and roadmap priorities into clear execution plans, business cases, decision points, and measurable outcomes for technical and executive audiences.
Support strategic programs across Central Technology, including cloud migration, enterprise systems transformation, technology service redesign, workforce optimization, tooling modernization, and governance.
