Job summary

Freenome in Brisbane, CA, is seeking a Senior Manager, Total Rewards with high ownership and strategic influence. You will lead end-to-end total rewards design and hands-on execution across compensation and benefits in a newly public company.

The role partners with People, Payroll, Finance, Legal, brokers, and external advisors, reporting to the Senior Director, Total Rewards and Talent Acquisition. This is a hybrid role (3-4 days/week) in Brisbane, CA.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience in Human Resources, Business, or a related field.

Responsibilities

• Lead and own end-to-end benefits and wellness programs, including enrollment, terminations, leaves, and plan updates across medical, dental, vision, life, disability, 401k, and voluntary programs.
• Execute hands-on processing for new-hire enrollments and status changes in HRIS and carrier portals.
• Develop and manage employee wellness initiatives and resources to support a healthy workplace culture.
• Act as primary contact for employee inquiries and resolve benefits questions and escalations.
• Coordinate with brokers, carriers, Payroll, HR Operations, and internal teams to ensure smooth administration.
• Audit monthly benefit billing invoices, reconcile vendor data, and ensure payroll deductions are correct.
• Lead annual open enrollment timelines, system setups, communications, and post-enrollment audits.
• Maintain accurate benefits documentation and guidance; support compliance filings and testing.
• Support renewals and program changes with data gathering, analyses, and implementation.
• Identify recurring questions and gaps; propose practical improvements to processes.
• Lead and execute compensation planning cycles, update job structures and pay ranges, and audit manager entries.
• Perform market pricing and salary benchmarking for new roles, promotions, and annual adjustments.
• Prepare compensation reports, equity models, and analyses for leadership and Compensation Committee.
• Audit bonuses, run proration formulas, and transmit payout files to Payroll.
• Oversee equity grant administration tracking and coordinate schedules for compliance.
• Maintain accurate compensation records and governance materials for internal use.
• Prepare data and materials for governance meetings and public-company reporting.
• Contribute to clear employee communications about compensation and rewards.
