Job summary

FORVIA in Auburn Hills, MI, seeks a Senior Compensation & Benefits Specialist for a contract role (at least 1 year) with potential to convert to full-time. The role acts as a subject matter expert for compensation, benefits, wellness, and total rewards, supporting administration, compliance, analysis, and continuous improvement.

You will partner with HR, Finance, and Plant Leadership to manage third‑party vendors, oversee vendor contracts and SLAs, review plan performance and claims trends,

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in compensation, benefits or total rewards.
• Minimum 2 years managing contracts with third-party benefits vendors.
• Knowledge of self-funded/self-insured plan compliance.
• Bachelor's degree required.
• Nice-to-have CEBS, CCP, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR certifications.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain relationships with TPAs, carriers, benefits consultants, brokers, wellness providers, retirement plan administrators, and other vendor partners.
• Support vendor selection activities, contract renewals, performance reviews, and SLAs management.
• Evaluate vendor effectiveness, service quality, and plan performance; identify cost savings opportunities.
• Review claims utilization, healthcare trends, stop-loss performance, and benefit costs for optimization and sustainability.
• Coordinate annual open enrollment activities and employee education sessions.
• Develop communications that clearly explain benefits programs and total rewards.
• Promote employee wellness programs and engagement initiatives.
