As a Tool & Die Machinist, you will be responsible for forming tooling components using equipment such as CNC, EDM, grinding, milling, and lathes. Your duties include building, debugging, analyzing, altering, and correcting tools to meet production schedules and lead times, under supervision.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Some of your key responsibilities include:

  • Working from blueprints, sketches, and instructions to build dies, jigs, fixtures, and tooling.
  • Assisting with machining tooling components according to drawings, meeting quality and quantity objectives.
  • Verifying part accuracy with precision measuring equipment.
  • Operating conventional and CNC machinery, understanding their basic operations.
  • Performing first-piece inspections and diagnosing tooling performance issues.
  • Adhering to safety, quality, and housekeeping standards, following work orders and engineering drawings.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

Requirements include:

  • High School Diploma/GED or equivalent.
  • 3+ years of relevant Tool & Die experience.
  • Basic computer and math skills.
  • Knowledge of tool room equipment such as drill presses, milling machines, grinders, lathes, and EDM.
  • Ability to read engineering drawings and follow work instructions.

Physical qualifications:

  • Ability to use hands repetitively, wear PPE, stand for extended periods, and lift up to 30 lbs.
