Farnsworth Group is seeking a Senior Revit Technician -Structural in one of the below posting locations. In this role you will assist structural engineers by providing building information (BIM) modeling.

Posting Location(s) for this role: Greenwood Village, CO (Denver Tech Center); Normal, IL; Peoria, IL; Phoenix, AZ; St. Louis, MO

Job Activities:

  • Prepare Structural Revit models of buildings of varying types.
  • Prepare Structural construction documents including plans, elevations, details, and schedules.
  • Coordinate with structural engineers and other disciplines.
  • Read and duplicate existing structural plans for use in building additions or renovations.
  • Assist with onboarding new employees in Revit training.
  • Participate on BIM team coordinating standards with structural team.
  • Participate on Structural Standards Committee, updating structural detail library and standards.
Specific Requirements include:
  • Associate’s degree in Engineering Technology, Drafting, or related degree or combination of education and experience. Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
  • Proficiency in Revit, with regards to structures, is required.
  • 6+ years of experience with Revit.
  • Understanding of typical structural details.
  • Understanding of structural plans and nomenclature.
  • Ability to start structural models and details with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to visualize and illustrate design in two and three dimensions.
  • Ability to balance several projects at once.
  • Experience with Building Structures preferred.
  • Experience with Navisworks preferred.
  • Revit or Autodesk Certification preferred.
