Job summary

Boyd Corp in Allenton, Wisconsin seeks a Senior Tool and Die Technician to maintain and prepare die-cast tooling for manufacturing processes. You will work with the tooling team to ensure equipment uptime and adherence to quality standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Perform advanced mathematics and use a calculator.
• Must communicate with employees on a professional level at all times.
• Basic reasoning and language skills to read, analyze, and interpret general business paperwork.
• Ability to present information and respond to questions from managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
• Ability to work with people at all levels of the organization.
• Proficient with MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook) and use of a PC.

Job Description

The Senior Tool and Die Technician is a crucial member of Boyd Allenton’s Tooling team. The primary responsibility of this position is the preparation and maintenance of the die-cast tooling necessary for our manufacturing processes. The ability to work as a team and good communication skills are key components for success in this role.

Essential Job Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance on shot rods, high-pressure die-cast tooling, and trim dies.

Physical Requirements

• Regularly required to sit, stand, walk, kneel, crouch, talk, and hear
• Frequently required to use hands to finger, handle, or touch tools, equipment, and/or controls
• Must have the ability to occasionally lift up to 75 pounds
• Specific vision abilities are required for this job and include close and distance vision, color, peripheral vision, and ability to focus
