Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Tool & Die Technician to support production operations by building, repairing, and maintaining precision tools, dies, jigs, and fixtures. This role requires hands‑on experience working with tight tolerances, blueprints, and machining equipment in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Build, repair, and maintain progressive and transfer dies
- Troubleshoot tooling issues to minimize downtime and maintain production efficiency
- Perform die changes, adjustments, and preventative maintenance
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and CAD drawings
- Operate manual and CNC machinery (mills, lathes, grinders, etc.)
- Inspect finished components using precision measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, gauges)
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to improve tooling performance
- Maintain clean and safe work environment in compliance with company standards
Qualifications
- 3+ years of Tool & Die or related machining experience
- Strong understanding of stamping dies, metal forming, or mold tooling
- Ability to read blueprints and work with tight tolerances
- Experience with troubleshooting and repairing tooling issues
- Familiarity with CNC equipment and programming is a plus
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem‑solving skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Journeyman Tool & Die certification (preferred, not required)
- Experience in automotive or high‑volume manufacturing environments
- Knowledge of CAD/CAM software
Work Environment
- Manufacturing / industrial setting
- Exposure to machinery, noise, and varying temperatures
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
