Job summary

RK&K is seeking a Senior Toll Specialist to join our tolling team. This remote role focuses on planning, analysis, design, and system implementation across tolling platforms, with emphasis on road-side and back-office solutions.

You will support KPI reporting, procurement documentation, and technical reviews, collaborating with DOTs and toll agencies to ensure compliant, efficient tolling operations and superior client outcomes.

Qualifications

• Minimum of ten years technical and/or operational experience working with DOT’s and toll agencies.
• Highly competent in both oral and written communications.
• An attitude and commitment to being an active participant in our company growth and success.
• Demonstrated experience in toll infrastructure, roadside, back-office systems, customer service center operations, and supporting systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical, operational and data analytics support on projects.
• Prepare and/or perform technical review of toll system requirements and designs, planning studies, engineering analyses, test plans, and Concepts of Operations.
• Assist in the design and development of tolling concepts and reports including requirement analysis, technology review and selection, toll equipment specifications, and back-office communications and operating systems.
• Support the tolling group with the development and review of system integration plans, testing procedures and commissioning documentation for toll systems.
• Support the implementation of tolling systems and IT systems.
• Assist in the development of procurement documentation for tolling clients with respect to technical, functional, and operational specifications including performing research on industry best practices and leading edge approaches to enhance client outcomes.
• Help to develop and implement key performance indicator (KPI) reporting tools for toll vendor contracts on various tolling projects
