Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Tier III Network Operations and Maintenance Engineer to support WAN/LAN networks, provide incident resolution, and implement routing and firewall changes. You will act as a subject matter expert for WAN/LAN technologies and support data communications systems across site networks.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI CI Poly clearance.
• 16 years of experience as a combination of work history and education.
• DoD 8570 IAT Level 2 certification.
• Experience configuring/troubleshooting Palo Alto, Cisco ASA, Forcepoint devices.
• Experience configuring Juniper and Cisco routers and switches.
• Experience with OSPF, BGP, VPNs, VRFs, MPLS.
• Understanding of routing, switching, IP, NAT and security tech.
• Ability to read and develop schematics and docs with minimal training.
• Experience with ServiceNow or similar ITSM products.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio) proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Support WAN/LAN operations and incident resolution.
• Configure and test network hardware and software.
• Review upgrade requests and assess impact on performance.
• Perform tier-3 troubleshooting and problem resolution.
• Prepare troubleshooting procedures for restoration of services.
• Provide fault and performance management for the network.
• Respond to and resolve network troubles; proactive monitoring.
• Execute reporting and data input for network management.
• Coordinate with configuration management and implementation teams.
• Analyze network characteristics and recommend component changes.
• Optimize network topologies and site configurations.
• Document current site configurations and user requirements.
