CrowdStrike is seeking a highly skilled security researcher to analyze in-the-wild exploits and track adversary activity. The role emphasizes deep reverse engineering, developing automation for exploit analysis, and producing actionable intelligence for threat mitigation.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in exploitation techniques commonly seen in userspace and kernel vulnerabilities.
• Knowledge of common network service exploitation techniques.
• Solid understanding of Windows and at least two other operating systems.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain tracking systems based on observed exploitation behavior.
• Improve detection of exploits, payloads, and attack vectors using available data sources.
• Increase visibility of threats using new data sources and techniques.
• Reverse engineer exploits to understand inner workings.
• Develop tools to automate exploit analysis within analysis frameworks.
• Create classification framework to attribute intrusion activity by vulnerabilities and exploit traits.
• Contribute to active mitigation with technical expertise.
• Develop host- and network-based signatures for large-scale hunting, detection, and prevention.
