Tenable's Research Special Operations (RSO) team seeks a Staff Research Engineer to lead the daily intelligence production cycle, including sourcing, triaging, classifying, analyzing, and publishing finished intelligence for stakeholders.

This role blends intelligence analysis with production discipline and analytical writing, requiring clear, concise communication and the ability to switch between operational triage and deeper analysis.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in cybersecurity with deep expertise in at least two areas (threat intel, vulnerability research, security operations, exposure/risk management)
• Experience producing structured analytical intelligence with confidence ratings and documented methodology
• Familiarity with vulnerability lifecycles, CVSS, exploit maturity, and exposure risk

Responsibilities

• Execute daily intelligence production cycle: triage, classify, analyze, and publish finished intelligence.
• Produce deeper analytical products: threat assessments, actor/campaign profiles, CVE analyses, and external digests.
