Job summary

Tenable seeks a Staff Research Engineer to lead daily intelligence production for our Exposure Intelligence function, triaging, classifying, and publishing finished intelligence for SOCs, engineers, and executives. You’ll produce the daily brief, assess zero-days, and contribute to critical external digests.

You will also develop deeper analyses, threat assessments, and campaigns profiles, while shaping standards and tooling. Join a high-impact team driving exposed management insights.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in cybersecurity with depth in at least two areas.
• Experience producing structured analytical intelligence with methodology.
• Understanding vulnerability lifecycle including CVSS and exploitation in the wild.
• Ability to map threats using MITRE ATT&CK and classify at the right level.
• Excellent analytical writing and communication for time-sensitive deliverables.

Responsibilities

• Execute daily intelligence production cycle and morning production.
• Create deeper analytical products, threat assessments, and external content.
• Contribute to standards, methodologies, and AI-assisted workflows.
• Engage stakeholders to align intelligence with product and leadership needs.
