Job summary

Tenable is seeking a Staff Research Engineer to lead the daily intelligence production cycle in the Exposure Intelligence function. You will source, triage, classify, analyze, and publish the daily brief and external digest in collaboration with the team.

The role blends intelligence analysis, production discipline, and written deliverables, with opportunities to develop framework, ongoing methodologies, and AI-assisted workflows. Collaborative environment and growth await.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in cybersecurity with depth in at least two areas: vulnerability research, threat intel, security operations, or exposure/risk management.
• Experience producing structured analytical intelligence with multi-source assessments and documented methodology.
• Deep familiarity with the vulnerability lifecycle, CVSS, exploit maturity, and exposure awareness.
• Strong understanding of threat actors, campaigns, and MITRE ATT&CK mappings.
• Excellent analytical writing and ability to produce time-sensitive deliverables.
• Comfort with structured, repeatable processes and quality gates.

Responsibilities

• Execute the daily intelligence production cycle; monitor sources, triage matters, and publish the daily operations brief and external digest.
• Produce deeper analytical products, including threat assessments, actor profiles, and CVE notes; contribute to blogs and external content.
• Contribute to classification standards, methodologies, and source management; explore AI-assisted workflows.
• Engage with product teams and leadership to align intelligence needs with strategic priorities.
