Job summary

SimSpace is seeking a Senior Threat Hunter to mentor global security teams and own advanced threat hunting scenarios. You will lead technical engagements, demonstrate open-source and commercial tools, and help clients test capabilities before deployment in complex environments.

You will work across a dispersed organization to build consensus, develop hunting playbooks, and tune security stacks, including EDR and SIEM, with a hands-on, results-driven approach.

Qualifications

• 6+ years in Security Operations, Incident Response, Detection Engineering, Offensive Security/Red Team, or Cyber Threat Intelligence.
• Experience with host, network, and app telemetry to identify attack indicators across cyber kill chain.
• Hands-on experience with enterprise scale EDR/SIEM tools (Splunk, Elastic, CrowdStrike).
• Experience performing threat hunting in active corporate environments.

Responsibilities

• Mentor and develop advanced threat hunting tactics for global clients.
• Lead technical client engagements on emerging technologies and cybersecurity safeguards in large networks.
• Act as technical consultant for AI agentic capabilities integration in security operations.
• Develop toolsets and cyber threat scenarios within a cybersecurity range to model defense scenarios.
• Create parsing rules, dashboards, and tuning for enterprise security tools in the range platform.
• Drive consensus and results across a geographically dispersed organization.
• Lead day-to-day tasks, mentor teammates, and travel for customer events (up to 25%).
