Job summary

SOSi seeks a Senior Threat Hunter to drive proactive cyber defense by identifying malicious activity and anomalous behavior across the enterprise. You will analyze logs, PCAP, IDS data, and EDR outputs to detect threats and support incident response.

The role requires experience with MITRE ATT&CK and D3FEND, scripting abilities, and collaboration with SOC teams. US government programs, DC area telemetry, and security clearances are relevant to this position.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree; or 4+ years of experience in lieu of degree as approved by Government.

Responsibilities

• Conduct proactive threat hunting to identify malicious activity, indicators of compromise, and anomalous behavior across the enterprise.
• Analyze data from logs, sensors, EDR tools, and PCAP sources to detect threats.
• Apply threat hunting methodologies using MITRE ATT&CK and MITRE D3FEND frameworks.
• Support detection, analysis, and response to cyber threats in coordination with SOC and incident response teams.
• Perform analysis of TCP/IP traffic, IDS data, malware activity, and adversary TTPs.
• Use scripting/query tools to support threat analysis and data hunting.
• Support development of threat hunting products, reporting, and recommendations to improve cyber defense.
