Job summary

Vertiv, headquartered in Westerville, Ohio, seeks a Sr. Application Engineer, Thermal to support account teams with technical solutions, analysis, and proposals for thermal opportunities.

You will interface with Product Management and Design teams to ensure compliance and input on customer needs, while sharing knowledge with customers and consulting engineers. You will develop technical responses, perform energy analyses, CFD studies, and prepare submittals to win opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, or related field (or equivalent).
• 4–8 years of industry technical experience.
• Service industry experience with electrical distribution systems and critical environments.
• Strong computer skills including MS Office and use of test equipment.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support and bid assistance for assigned accounts throughout the sales cycle.
• Serve as a trusted advisor to customers, delivering technical expertise to support objectives.
• Collaborate with Bid Teams and Account Teams to analyze technical specifications and align solutions.
