Job summary

The role requires a BS degree in mechanical engineering, 7–10 years of experience, and strong project management and communication skills. Occasional travel is expected.

Qualifications

• BSME or related mechanical engineering degree required.
• Advanced degree preferred.
• 7–10 years of experience in mechanical engineering.
• Strong project management and communication skills.
• Familiarity with thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, and heat transfer.
• Experience with 3D CAD software, CREO 4.0+ in particular.
• Ability to travel up to 10%.

Responsibilities

• Conduct advanced development tasks for cooling system concepts.
• Collaborate across mechanical, electrical and process engineering teams.
• Support design reviews focusing on cost and performance.
• Perform thermal, stress, heat transfer calculations as needed.
• Run CFD and/or 1D modeling to optimize architectures.
• Develop prototypes and oversee testing.
• Document reports and design guidelines.
• Scout new technologies for potential Vertiv integration.
