Job summary

Coherent is seeking a seasoned Thermal Systems Engineer to lead design and development of advanced thermal and thermoelectric products. You will model with ANSYS and SolidWorks, verify results against first principles, and drive projects to on‑time delivery.

Qualifications

• Technical degree in engineering (BS or higher).
• Background in thermal design and manufacturing processes.
• Experience with direct customer communication and project management.
• 7+ years in thermal management design; thermoelectric experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy thermal/thermoelectric products with minimal supervision.
• Model and verify thermal/mechanical designs using internal tools and ANSYS.
• Manage projects to meet delivery dates and budgets.
• Communicate results via reports, memos, and presentations.
• Support cross-functional teams and external suppliers on technical issues.
• Participate in quality audits and risk management activities.
• Travel domestically and internationally to support global teams.
