Job summary

Qualifications

• MS or higher in engineering or applied physics with heat transfer and fluid dynamics focus.
• 7+ years in a thermal analysis or thermo-physics role.
• Thermal FEA experience with STAR-CCM+, ANSYS, Icepak, or Flotherm.
• Proficiency in Matlab or Python for models and data processing.
• Experience with test-model correlation and input parameter characterization.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thermal analysis and own thermal design aspects across hardware programs.
• Develop analytical models and comprehensive simulations (CFD/FEA) for designs.
• Perform first-order hand calculations and lead model correlations with tests.
• Prepare technical reports and present findings to teams and customers.
• Stay current with thermal analysis methods, materials, and industry standards.
• Collaborate with environmental test engineers during instrumentation and testing.
